Dr. Christopher Newman

Dr. Christopher Newman completed his medical school at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, now named Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2001. He studied General Surgery completing a five year residency at South Pointe Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Dr. Newman continued his surgical training completing a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Doctors Hospital of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. As a Double Board Certified Surgeon, Dr. Newman has met the requirements that demonstrate his exceptional expertise in both specialties of General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Newman then entered private practice offering Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in both Columbus and Mansfield, Ohio, until he relocated to his hometown state of Florida and established a new practice, Florida Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Newman enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, playing guitar, and flying aircraft out of St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport.

Dr. Christopher Newman offers the full complement of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery serving Tampa Bay Florida, including St. Petersburg, Seminole, Clearwater, Largo, Tampa and surrounding areas. As a residency trained plastic surgeon, Dr. Newman performs cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation (Breast Implants), abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), rhinoplasty, facelift and Liposuction, including VASER which can be done under local anesthesia!
