Spider and Varicose Veins St. Petersburg
The long pulsed YAG laser targets blood vessels or veins by delivering the wavelength of energy absorbed by the red blood cells. When the red blood cell absorbs the energy, it heats up causing collapse of the vein or disappearance of the vascular lesion. Occasionally, veins require repeat treatment. Small varicose veins, spider veins and cherry angiomas can be treated with the long pulsed YAG laser. Like the diode laser for laser hair removal, the long pulsed YAG has a chill tip that cools the skin just before the laser energy is delivered making treatments much more comfortable.
