Some of the first signs of aging like facial folds and wrinkles are caused by volume loss and weakened skin. Revanesse Versa is a one-of-a-kind dermal filler formula that uses a uniquely small particle size to instantly and evenly fill in your signs of aging.
What is Versa Filler?
Revanesse Versa filler is a hyaluronic acid filler used to instantly add volume to facial wrinkles and folds. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and is responsible for providing the skin with moisture to keep its youthful, supple appearance. When placed below the skin, Versa filler smooths and hydrates the areas where lines are present. The results of Versa filler are temporary as the body naturally absorbs and breaks down the formula.
Who is a Candidate for Versa Filler?
Candidates for Versa filler are those who experience lines, wrinkles, and folds that are static. Static wrinkles are not caused by making facial expressions and are present even when the face is relaxed. These typically occur around the nose and mouth area such as smile lines or vertical lip lines. Those with wrinkles that are caused by facial expressions may be better candidates for a different treatment like Botox. Versa filler can also be combined with other filler formulas to enhance the facial features like the lips or cheeks. Versa filler is a great solution for those who are not ready for or do not require a surgical procedure to address their signs of aging, but still want to look younger. Dr. Newman will meet with patients and discuss their concerns to determine which injectable filler formula is best for their lines and wrinkles.
The Versa Filler Procedure
Prior to receiving treatment, a topical numbing cream can be applied to the skin for those that are worried about discomfort. Using a very thin needle, a small amount of Versa filler will then be placed into the treatment area below the skin. The small particle size in the Versa filler formula helps to ensure even distribution for completely smooth results. The treatment process can take about 15 minutes to complete.
Downtime and Recovery
Because treatment with injectables is nonsurgical, patients can get right back to their regular routine with no required downtime. Versa filler has also shown to produce less swelling after treatment than other filler formulas on the market. Patients should avoid rubbing the treatment area and avoid heat from hot water when washing the face or direct sunlight for the first day. Exercise should be avoided for 24 hours to reduce the risk of swelling.
The results of Versa filler are instant, providing moisture and volume to the skin for a smooth, youthful appearance. Patients can expect these results to last for several months to up to a year before a touch-up session is needed.
